Situated within the Greater Chatham-Kent metropolitan area, Highgate is a neighbourhood within Chatham-Kent, Ontario.

Transportation

Getting around by car is very convenient in Highgate. The majority of houses for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, and it is very easy to park. Although the topography is flat, biking is difficult in Highgate as there are very few bike lanes. It is also very challenging for pedestrians to get around in this neighbourhood as many daily needs are inconvenient to meet without a vehicle.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Highgate. Concerning food, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is required to shop for groceries. Residents of Highgate benefit from a few restaurants.
