Lake Vista is a neighbourhood within Ajax, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

The best approach to get around in Lake Vista is very often driving. Nearby highways are easy to reach from any home in this area, and it is convenient to come across a place to park. On the other hand, commuting by public transit is challenging in Lake Vista. Nonetheless, homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. Lake Vista is quite amenable to bicycling. However, travelling by foot is not very popular in this part of the town, even though meeting daily needs is convenient by walking.

Services

Some, but not all, house buyers in this part of the town will live within walking distance of the closest supermarket. A limited number of restaurants and cafes are available as well. As far as education is concerned, it is a rather short walk to get to daycares and schools from most houses for sale in this neighbourhood.

Character

Lake Vista is reasonably quiet, as the streets are usually quite peaceful. Parks aren't well-located, which makes them very hard to reach.

Housing

About one quarter of dwellings are small apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in Lake Vista, while single detached homes and townhouses make up most of the remaining housing stock. This part of the town is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. About three quarters of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the remainder are rented. Roughly one third of homes in this neighbourhood were built after the year 2000, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s.
