Transportation

Moving around by car is very convenient in Rutledge. It is a rather short drive to the closest highway from any location in this part of Halifax, and parking is easy. However, Rutledge is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually very close. Many of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are not particularly suitable for walking since running daily errands is at times difficult on foot. The bicycle is a sometimes poor means of transportation in this area as cyclists are faced with a significant amount of slopes, and the bicycling infrastructure is rather limited.

Services

In Rutledge, families will usually be able to access primary schools and daycares on foot. However, there are no high schools in this neighbourhood. In terms of eating, some house buyers in this neighbourhood may be able to reach the closest supermarket on foot, while others will have to use a vehicle.

Character

The character of Rutledge is exemplified by its relaxed ambience.
