Located within the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Pleasant Valley is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Transportation
Pleasant Valley is particularly car friendly. It is especially convenient to access a parking spot. This part of Halifax is not very bike-friendly because there are a fair number of elevation changes, and the cycling network is quite poor. A majority of the houses for sale in this area are located in places that are also not very well-suited for those who travel as pedestrians since many daily needs are practically impossible to carry out without a vehicle.

Pleasant Valley does not contain any high schools or primary schools. As far as eating is concerned, in all cases, a car is required to buy groceries.

Pleasant Valley is a very good community to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. Pleasant Valley is very quiet overall, as the streets tend to be very peaceful. It is very difficult to get to parks since they aren't well-spread out. Despite that, there are a few parks nearby for residents to discover.
Housing
Single detached homes and row houses are the predominant housing type in Pleasant Valley. This community is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 90% of the dwellings in the community and 10% are rented. About 45% of homes in this community were built prior to the 1960s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1990s.
