Owls Head is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are a great transportation option in Owls Head. Parking is quite easy. This area is not very conducive to those who prefer to get around on foot because running common errands is practically impossible without a vehicle. Owls Head is also not very cycling-friendly because there are a fair number of hills, and the bicycling network is not very well-developed.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this community. Regarding food, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed in this part of Halifax to access the nearest supermarket.

Character

The character of Owls Head is exemplified by its relaxed environment. Most areas in Owls Head are very quiet, as the streets are especially tranquil. Parks aren't well-situated, which results in them being very hard to reach from most locations in this part of the municipality.

The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of this part of Halifax is an important part of its character.
