Located within the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Old Bedford is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Old Bedford is particularly car friendly. It is very easy to come across a place to park, and many real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway. On the other hand, Old Bedford is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and it is very convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most properties. Bicycling is sometimes challenging in this part of the municipality as travelling by bike is rendered strenuous by the often steep terrain, and Old Bedford has fairly poor bicycling infrastructure. Old Bedford is also not especially conducive to those who travel by foot because few daily needs can be met without a vehicle.

Daycares and schools are easy to reach on foot from anywhere in Old Bedford.
