Transportation

The best mode of transportation in this part of the municipality is usually driving. Coming across a parking spot is easy. Oakfield is not very appropriate for biking because there are a fair number of slopes, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive. A majority of the houses for sale in this community are located in areas that are also not very suitable for walking because almost no day-to-day needs can be carried out without the use of a vehicle.

Services

This part of Halifax does not contain any high schools or primary schools. When it comes to food, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed to shop for groceries.

Character

Oakfield is very quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. It is very hard to get to parks in the community since they are distributed sporadically. Despite that, there are a few parks close by for residents to discover.
