Mill Lake

Mill Lake is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

This area is an extraordinarily convenient part of Halifax for moving around by car. Parking is quite easy. Most houses for sale in this area are located in places that are not very well-suited for pedestrians as almost no common errands can be run without needing to resort to a car. Commuting by bicycle is also very difficult in this part of the municipality because the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive, and the terrain is not very flat.

Services

In all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed to purchase groceries. As far as education is concerned, Mill Lake does not contain any high schools or primary schools.

Character

The character of Mill Lake is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. Mill Lake is wonderful for those who enjoy quiet surroundings, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. Public green spaces aren't well-distributed, resulting in them being rather challenging to get to from many locations in the community. Despite that, residents will be able to access parks in nearby communities.

Housing

In Mill Lake, almost all buildings are single detached homes. A small minority of properties in this part of Halifax were constructed pre-1960. This part of Halifax offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Nearly all of the units in the community are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented.
