The community of Milford is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a great means of transportation in this community. Nearby highways are easy to access from any location in this part of Halifax, and it is especially convenient to park. Milford is not very suited for cycling because there are quite a few hills, and there are very few bike lanes. Getting around as a pedestrian is also not very practical for residents in this area as almost no daily needs can be met without needing a car.

Services

In most, if not all, cases, a car is required to purchase groceries. With respect to education, it is a reasonably short trip to access primary as well as high schools from most properties for sale in this part of the municipality.

Character

Milford is an excellent community to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. Milford is very quiet overall, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Green spaces aren't well-distributed, which makes them very difficult to access.

The homes in this part of the municipality are quite old, since roughly 40% of its dwellings were built pre-1960, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s.
