Transportation

Driving is a great mode of transportation in this part of the municipality. It is very easy to come across a parking spot. It is very difficult for people travelling on foot to navigate this area since almost no daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Ketch Harbour. As far as food is concerned, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed to buy groceries.

Character

Ketch Harbour is especially quiet, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. It is occasionally hard to get to parks in the community since they aren't well-situated. Despite that, there are a few public green spaces nearby for residents to relax in.

Housing

Nearly 95% of the dwellings in the community are occupied by homeowners and 5% are occupied by renters. In this part of Halifax, the overwhelming majority of dwellings are single detached homes. About 30% of properties in this community were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1990s. This community offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
