The neighbourhood of Fernliegh is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

This part of the municipality is especially car friendly. Parking is easy, and many real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway. However, this part of Halifax is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, property owners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. This part of Halifax is quite amenable to cycling. Fernliegh is not very conducive to walking as meeting daily needs is inconvenient.

Services

It is straightforward to reach the closest grocery store on foot from anywhere in this neighbourhood. In terms of education, parents and their schoolchildren will find that wherever their property is located in Fernliegh, daycares and primary schools are close by. In contrast, this area does not contain any high schools.

Character

Fernliegh offers a slower-paced atmosphere and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. The noise levels in this area are low, as the streets tend to be reasonably peaceful.
