Africville is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is very often the favoured approach to navigate Africville. It is very easy to access a parking spot, and many homes for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway. In contrast, the public transit system in this part of Halifax is not very accessible. Travelling by foot is not very common in Africville, despite the fact that many daily needs can be carried out by walking.

Services

Africville does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Additionally, daycares are not very plentiful and accordingly not always within walking distance. In terms of eating, in all but a few cases, a car is required in Africville to reach the closest grocery store.
