The neighbourhood of Oliver is part of the subdivision of a county municipality of Colchester Subdivision B, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Truro metropolitan area.

Transportation

This area is very car friendly. Accessing a parking spot is quite easy. Many of the houses for sale in this part of Colchester Subdivision B are located in places that are not very suitable for those who like to travel by walking because running daily errands is almost impossible without a vehicle. Commuting by bicycle is also difficult in Oliver since there are a good number of elevation changes, and the bicycling network is not very well-developed.
