Driving is usually the best way to get around in Tufts Cove. It is very easy to access a place to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a short drive from the closest highway. On the other hand, the public transit system in this part of the municipality is not particularly convenient. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually very close. It is occasionally challenging for people walking to navigate Tufts Cove because few common errands can be run without having to resort to a car. The bike is a sometimes poor mode of transportation in this part of Halifax because cyclists encounter a significant amount of elevation changes, and there are few bike lanes.
