Part of the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, South End is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

South End affords homeowners the choice between different methods of transportation. This part of Halifax is home to reasonably good transit. More specifically, the neighbourhood is linked by about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses. Most houses for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are also well-suited for pedestrians; meeting daily needs is easy without a vehicle, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. South End will draw active home buyers as it is reasonably suited for biking. For instance, the bicycling infrastructure is moderately well-developed.

Services

In this neighbourhood, families will almost always be able to get to schools and daycares as pedestrians. Residents benefit from public and private elementary schools.
