Commuting by bicycle is very difficult in Sheet Harbour because riding is made arduous by the often sloping terrain, and there are very few bike lanes. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of the municipality are located in areas that are also not very suitable for those who travel by foot as most day-to-day needs are impractical to meet by walking.

Services

In all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is required to do groceries. Nevertheless, reaching the closest pharmacy and accordingly some staple foods is typically straightforward. Residents of this part of Halifax can enjoy a few restaurants as well. Regarding education, high schools and primary schools are not especially plentiful in this community, and consequently may require a rather long walk to get to.

Character

Sheet Harbour is reasonably quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. Parks are rather difficult to reach since they are sparse. Still, there are a few green spaces close by for residents to relax in.

Housing
