Situated within the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Penhorn is a neighbourhood in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

The car is very often the preferred method to navigate this part of the municipality. Parking is easy, and many properties for sale are a short drive from the closest highway. On the other hand, the transit system in Penhorn is not very practical. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and it is very convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most houses. This part of Halifax is not especially suited for bicycling because the cycling network is not very extensive, and cyclists are faced with a significant amount of slopes. Traveling by walking is also not especially feasible for house buyers in Penhorn because most daily needs are sometimes difficult to carry out without a vehicle.

Services

Families will value that wherever their property is located in Penhorn, primary schools and daycares are close by. However, there are no high schools in Penhorn.
