Driving is usually the best mode of transportation in this area. It is especially convenient to park. This community is quite cycling-friendly. It is very inconvenient for pedestrians to move around in this part of Halifax because almost no common errands can be run without the use of a car.

In all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed to buy groceries. There are also a few opportunities for those who value nearby restaurants and cafes. In terms of education, there are only a few high schools in this area and consequently they can be a rather long walk away. Moreover, this part of Halifax does not contain any primary schools. Additionally, it can be challenging to reach daycares on foot.

Musquodoboit Harbour is a fairly good community to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm ambience.
