Malay Falls

Malay Falls is a community in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Malay Falls is an extremely convenient part of Halifax for getting around by car. Coming across a place to park is quite easy. Malay Falls is not very well-suited for walking as running common errands is practically impossible on foot. This community is also not very cycling-friendly since there are a good number of elevation changes to challenge cyclists, and there are very few bike lanes.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Malay Falls. When it comes to food, it is very rarely an option for home buyers in this area to buy groceries on foot.

Character

Malay Falls is very good for those who prefer quiet areas, as the streets are generally very tranquil. Public green spaces aren't well-situated, resulting in them being very hard to get to from most locations in the community.

Housing

The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of Malay Falls is an important part of its character. Around one third of properties in this community were built prior to the 1960s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. This part of the municipality is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Nearly 95% of the population of this community own their home and renters make up the remainder.
