Part of the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Lower Sackville is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

The favoured approach to move around in Lower Sackville is usually a car. The majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, and it is very easy to come across a parking spot. On the other hand, the public transit service in Lower Sackville is not very frequent. Thankfully, homeowners have access to about 10 bus lines, and it is very convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most residences. Commuting by bicycle is at times challenging in this part of the municipality since cyclists encounter a considerable amount of hills, and there are few bike lanes. Conversely, it is easy to reach the closest coffee shop on foot, for instance along Sackville Drive, and there are also a few options for those who care about restaurants in close proximity.
