Little Harbour

The community of Little Harbour is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

The favoured method to navigate Little Harbour is usually driving. It is very convenient to access a place to park. Little Harbour is not very amenable to cycling since the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and the terrain is not especially flat. A majority of the homes for sale in this area are located in areas that are also not very conducive to those who travel by foot as many daily needs are almost impossible to meet without the use of a car.

Services

It is very rarely practical for home buyers in this area to purchase their groceries on foot. Concerning education, Little Harbour does not contain any high schools or primary schools.

Character

Little Harbour is excellent for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are very calm. Parks aren't well-distributed, which results in them being very hard to get to from most locations within this part of Halifax. Despite that, there are a few green spaces close by for residents to relax in.

Housing

Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in Little Harbour. About one quarter of homes in this area were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This part of the municipality offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy nearly 90% of the properties in Little Harbour whereas the rest are rented.
