However, Head of Chezzetcook is not a very pleasant part of Halifax for travelling by public transit. Head of Chezzetcook is not very amenable to bicycling because there are a fair number of elevation changes, and there are very few bike lanes. Travelling on foot is also not very practical for residents in this part of the municipality because running common errands is inconvenient.

Services

Character

Most areas in Head of Chezzetcook are quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Public green spaces aren't well-spread out, which makes them rather challenging to access. Still, there are a few parks close by for residents to visit.

Housing

Single detached homes and row houses are the predominant housing type in Head of Chezzetcook. Roughly one quarter of homes in this area were built after the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This part of the municipality also has quite a good variety of housing sizes - there is a higher proportion of three bedroom homes in this part of Halifax. Homeowners occupy about 85% of the dwellings in the community and 15% are rented.
