Part of the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Halifax Seaport is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Regardless of the medium of transportation, it is reasonably simple to travel in this part of the municipality. The transit in this area is good. For example, property owners have access to a few bus lines, and it is very convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most houses. Halifax Seaport is also very well-suited for people who prefer to travel as pedestrians; many common errands can be run without needing a vehicle, and various businesses are rather close at hand. Cycling is convenient in this part of Halifax as the bicycling network is rather comprehensive.

A general and a specialty grocery store is always only a very short trip away in this part of the municipality. Likewise, there are a fair number of options for those who appreciate nearby restaurants and cafes. A decent choice of clothing stores can also be found within a reasonably short walking distance. Character

People who prefer a relaxed environment will enjoy Halifax Seaport. This part of the municipality is reasonably quiet overall, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although there are still several louder areas, especially close to the railway line. Lastly, although Halifax Seaport does not contain any parks, public green spaces are very well-situated in nearby neighbourhoods, which results in them being easy to access from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood.

In Halifax Seaport, most buildings are large apartment buildings, but small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock.
