Transportation

Halibut Bay is particularly car friendly. It is very convenient to park. This area is not very suited for biking as the cycling infrastructure is quite poor, and riding is made difficult by the often hilly terrain. It is also very inconvenient for pedestrians to navigate Halibut Bay because almost no day-to-day needs can be met without the use of a car.

Services

Halibut Bay does not contain any high schools or primary schools. In terms of food, doing one's groceries very often demands the use of a vehicle in this part of Halifax.

People who prefer a relaxed environment will enjoy Halibut Bay. Halibut Bay is very good for those who need quiet areas, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Parks aren't well-distributed, making them occasionally challenging to get to from numerous locations in this area. Still, residents will be able to access public green spaces in nearby communities.
