Transportation

Elderbank is very car friendly. Finding a parking spot is easy. A majority of the homes for sale in this part of Halifax are located in areas that are not very suitable for pedestrians because many daily needs are nearly impossible to carry out without a vehicle. This community is also not very bike-friendly because the cycling network is quite bad, and there are a fair number of hills for cyclists to brave.

Elderbank is a wonderful community to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. Elderbank is especially quiet overall, as the streets tend to be very tranquil. Green spaces aren't well-distributed, resulting in them being rather difficult to access from the majority of locations within the community. Despite that, there are a few parks nearby for residents to enjoy.

Housing

The housing stock of Elderbank is composed predominantly of single detached homes and row houses. This part of the municipality offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
