East Quoddy

The community of East Quoddy is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is usually the preferred method to get around in this area. Parking is quite easy. A majority of the houses for sale in this area are located in places that are not very well-suited for people who travel on foot as almost no common errands can be run without a car. Moving around by bicycle is also very difficult in this part of the municipality as there are a fair number of hills for cyclists to brave, and the cycling network is quite bad.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of Halifax. As far as food is concerned, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed in this community to reach the closest supermarket.

Character

The character of East Quoddy is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. East Quoddy is especially quiet overall, as the streets are usually very peaceful. Parks aren't well-spread out, making it very difficult to reach them from the majority of locations within the community.
