Transportation

This neighbourhood is reasonably bike-friendly since. Travelling on foot is also feasible for residents in Armdale; running daily errands is convenient. Cars are a very good medium of transportation in Armdale. It is straightforward to park, and it is a reasonably short car ride to the nearest highway from any home in this neighbourhood. However, the public transit service in Armdale is not particularly frequent. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and most properties are very close to a bus stop.

Services

Primary schools are easy to reach on foot from most homes for sale in this neighbourhood. However, Armdale does not contain any high schools. As far as eating is concerned, some, but not all, home buyers in this part of the municipality will live within walking distance of the nearest supermarket. Residents of Armdale can enjoy a few restaurants as well.

Character

Armdale is a great neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. This area is excellent for those who like quiet surroundings, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. Lastly, green spaces are very easy to reach, since most properties for sale have one around the corner and there are a few parks close by for residents to explore.

Housing

Around two thirds of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and one third are rented. In this neighbourhood, the majority of dwellings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. Roughly 45% of properties in this part of Halifax were constructed pre-1960, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 2000s. This area is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
