Transportation

Getting around by car is very easy in Valley. Parking is generally easy, and most real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway. Valley is not very bicycling-friendly because the terrain is not especially flat, and there are very few bike lanes. Most homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are also not very convenient for those who travel by foot since very few daily errands can be run without the use of a car.

Services

In Valley, families will generally be able to reach both primary and secondary schools on foot. On the other hand, there are only a very small number of daycares and therefore they can be a very long walk away. As far as eating is concerned, a vehicle is almost always required in Valley to reach the nearest supermarket. Residents of Valley are served by a few restaurants.

Character

Valley is great for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic.

Housing

The large proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of Valley is an important part of its character. This part of Colchester Subdivision B is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 90% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood whereas the remainder are rented. This area did not experience a single construction boom; the construction of new homes in Valley was spread throughout several decades in recent history.
