The community of Sydney River is part of the municipality of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a great mode of transportation in Sydney River. It is very easy to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a short car ride from the closest highway. Travelling on foot is not very practical for residents in Sydney River because very few common errands can be run without having to use a vehicle.

Services

Some, but not all, home buyers in Sydney River will live within walking distance of the closest grocery store. There are also approximately 20 restaurants and cafes in this part of the municipality.
