The community of Florence can be found in the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Florence is an extraordinarily good part of Cape Breton Municipality for getting around by car. Finding a place to park is generally easy. Cycling is challenging in Florence since there are very few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of elevation changes. It is also very difficult for pedestrians to navigate this part of the municipality because very few common errands can be run without the need to get in a car.

Services

There are only a few primary schools in Florence and accordingly they can be a rather long trip away. Furthermore, Florence does not have any high schools.
