Alder Point is a community within Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

This community is especially car friendly. It is very easy to come across a place to park. It is occasionally difficult to commute by bike in Alder Point since the topography is not particularly flat, and the cycling network is not very comprehensive. Nevertheless, there is a high density of cyclists. Many of the homes for sale in this part of the municipality are located in areas that are also not very suitable for those who travel by foot as almost no common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

Services

It is very rarely an option for home buyers in this community to do groceries on foot. In terms of education, this part of the municipality does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Additionally, parents may find it very hard for their children to reach daycares on foot.

Character

Alder Point is excellent for those who enjoy quiet surroundings, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.
