The community of South Bar is part of the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

South Bar is especially car friendly. Finding a place to park is easy. South Bar is not very amenable to biking because the bicycling infrastructure is quite bad, and cyclists are faced with a considerable amount of elevation changes.
