Situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area, Reserve Mines is a community within Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent means of transportation in Reserve Mines. It is very convenient to park. This part of Cape Breton Municipality is not very bike-friendly as the cycling infrastructure is quite poor, and there are a good number of hills. Walking is also not very practical for property owners in Reserve Mines since meeting daily needs is challenging by walking.

Services

There are only a few primary schools in this area and therefore they can be a rather long walk away. Additionally, this part of the municipality does not contain any high schools. Moreover, there are only a very small number of daycares and therefore they can be a very long walk away. As far as food is concerned, doing one's groceries usually demands the use of a vehicle in this community. Residents are served by a few restaurants and cafes.

Character

Reserve Mines is a good community to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. There are around 20 green spaces close by for residents to visit, resulting in them being very easy to access from a lot of locations within this area. This community is also reasonably good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case near the airport (YQY).
