The community of Portage can be found in the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in Portage. It is very easy to park. Traveling as a pedestrian is not very practical for property owners in this part of Cape Breton Municipality as running common errands is very inconvenient without a vehicle. Portage is also not very appropriate for bicycling because this community has quite bad cycling infrastructure, and the topography is not especially flat.

Services

In all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed to purchase groceries. There are a few choices for those who care about nearby restaurants. In terms of education, this area does not contain any high schools or primary schools.

Character
