Part of the Cape Breton metropolitan area, Port Caledonia is a community within Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

This area is an extraordinarily good part of Cape Breton Municipality for driving. It is very easy to park. A majority of the houses for sale in this area are located in places that are not very suitable for people who prefer to travel on foot as many daily needs are practically impossible to carry out without the use of a car. Bicycling is also challenging in Port Caledonia since there are a good number of elevation changes to challenge cyclists, and the cycling infrastructure is not very well-developed.

Services

Port Caledonia does not contain any high schools or primary schools. With regards to eating, house buyers in this area almost always have to use a car to do their grocery shopping.

Character

Port Caledonia is an excellent community to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. The noise levels in this part of Cape Breton Municipality are very low, as the streets are very peaceful. Finally, reaching public green spaces, like Big Glace Bay Beach, is very easy from a large number of locations in the community since there are a few of them close by for residents to discover.
