The community of Point Edward is part of the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured method to navigate Point Edward is usually a car. Nearby highways are very easy to reach from anywhere in this community, and it is especially convenient to find a place to park. This community is not very amenable to biking as the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and the topography is not very flat. Point Edward is also not very conducive to pedestrians as running common errands is impractical without needing a vehicle.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Point Edward. Concerning eating, house buyers in this area almost always have to use a vehicle to do their grocery shopping.

Character

The character of Point Edward is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. Although the community is not home to any parks, public green spaces are sparse in nearby communities, resulting in them being very easy to get to from most locations within the community.
