Long Island

The community of Long Island can be found in the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Long Island is an extraordinarily convenient part of Cape Breton Municipality for driving. It is especially convenient to park. Long Island is not very conducive to cycling as the bicycling infrastructure is quite poor, and there are a fair number of slopes. Traveling by foot is also not very practical for house buyers in this community because carrying out daily needs is almost impossible without a vehicle.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this area. With respect to eating, property owners in Long Island almost always have to use a car to access the nearest grocery store.

Character

The character of Long Island is exemplified by its calm atmosphere. Although this community is not home to any parks, green spaces are well-spread out in nearby communities, which makes it very easy to get to them from numerous locations in the community. This part of Cape Breton Municipality is also especially quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

Housing

In Long Island, almost all buildings are single detached homes, and the remaining dwellings are mainly mobile homes.
