Walton's Mountain

Part of the Greater St. John's metropolitan area, Walton's Mountain is a neighbourhood within Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in Walton's Mountain. It is especially convenient to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a short drive from the closest highway. In contrast, the public transit service in Walton's Mountain is fairly poor. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. Walking is not very practical for house buyers in Walton's Mountain because few common errands can be run on foot. This neighbourhood is also not particularly conducive to bicycling because the cycling network is not very extensive, and riding is made arduous by the typically hilly topography.

Services

Property owners in this part of Mount Pearl usually have to turn to a car to travel to the nearest supermarket. As far as education is concerned, daycares are convenient to reach on foot from most houses for sale in this part of the city. On the other hand, there are no primary schools and no high schools in Walton's Mountain.

Around one third of properties in this area were constructed following the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s. This part of the city also has a choice of housing sizes - however this neighbourhood is particularly good for those looking for three bedroom homes.
