Georgestown is a neighbourhood within St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, which is situated in the Greater St. John's metropolitan area.

Transportation

A majority of the homes for sale in this part of St. John's are located in places that are reasonably conducive to those who travel by foot; many daily needs are convenient to carry out by walking, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. However, the bicycle is a somewhat poor means of transportation in Georgestown because riding a bike is made arduous by the typically hilly topography, and the bicycling infrastructure is not particularly comprehensive. Travelling by transit can be difficult in this area due to the infrequent service. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. In contrast, driving is a reasonably good transportation option in this neighbourhood. Parking is generally easy, and many houses for sale are a very short car ride from the nearest highway.
