Part of the Greater St. John's metropolitan area, Evergreen Village is a neighbourhood within Paradise, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Transportation

Evergreen Village is especially car friendly. The majority of houses for sale are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as I1:17:31 Highway, and it is very easy to find a parking spot. In contrast, public transit riders may find few options in this part of the town by reason of the service's low frequency. Thankfully, homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. It is sometimes difficult to move around by bike in Evergreen Village because the cycling network is not very well-developed, and cyclists are faced with a considerable amount of elevation changes. Walking is also not especially practical for home buyers in Evergreen Village as very few daily errands can be run on foot.

Services

The nearest supermarket in Evergreen Village is usually only a reasonably short walk away. A small variety of restaurants and cafes is available as well. With respect to education, it is a short walk to reach daycares and primary schools from most houses for sale in this neighbourhood. However, there are no high schools in Evergreen Village.

Character

Evergreen Village is especially quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.

Housing

In Evergreen Village, the majority of dwellings are single detached homes, while the rest are mainly duplexes. This area is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. About three quarters of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented.
