The neighbourhood of Wilkes South can be found in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, which is located in the Greater Winnipeg metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of Winnipeg is very car friendly. The majority of real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, and it is very easy to park. However, this part of Winnipeg is not very transit friendly. Many of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are not very convenient for those who travel by foot as carrying out daily needs is difficult by walking.

Services

Wilkes South does not have any high schools or primary schools. Additionally, there are only a very small number of daycares and consequently they can be a very long walk away. When it comes to eating, buying one's groceries usually necessitates the use of a vehicle in this area. A limited number of restaurants are available in this part of Winnipeg as well.

Character

There is an extensive selection of green spaces in Wilkes South. There are a few parks close by for residents to explore, including Charleswood Place, resulting in them being easy to reach from a lot of locations within Wilkes South. Since there are very few pedestrians, this area remains relatively calm.

Housing
