Transportation

St. Boniface will please property owners that value a diversity of methods of transportation. It is easy for pedestrians to get around in this part of Winnipeg; many day-to-day errands can be run without having to resort to a vehicle, and a variety of businesses are nearby. This community will also appeal to active home buyers as it is quite suited for biking. In particular, riding is made easier by the generally flat terrain, and the cycling infrastructure is quite well-developed. St. Boniface is a fairly convenient part of Winnipeg for travelling by public transit owing to approximately 10 nearby bus lines. St. Boniface is also reasonably car friendly. It is convenient to find a parking spot, and most homes for sale are a very short drive from the nearest highway.

It is very convenient to access the closest supermarket by walking in this community. Furthermore, there are a good number of opportunities within walking distance for those who appreciate restaurants and cafes. With regards to education, schools and daycares are straightforward to get to on foot from anywhere in St. Boniface. Residents are served by public and private primary schools.

Character

St. Boniface is a very good community to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere. Public green spaces, including Lagimodiere-Gaboury Historic Park and Whittier Park, are especially well-distributed and there are approximately 20 of them nearby for residents to check out, making them very easy to get to. This community is very quiet overall, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic.

Housing

About one third of buildings are small apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in St. Boniface, while the rest are mainly large apartment buildings and single detached homes. Roughly 40% of properties in this community were constructed pre-1960, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 2000s.
