It is especially convenient to access a parking spot, and nearby highways, such as Perimeter 100 Highway, are particularly easy to drive to from anywhere in this area. However, the public transit system in Glendale is rather poor. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are ordinarily very close by. Despite the fact that there are few elevation changes to confront bicycle riders, it is challenging to travel by bicycle in Glendale because there are few bike lanes. Getting around on foot is also not very feasible for home buyers in this area as few common errands can be run without a vehicle.

There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Glendale. Parks, such as St. Charles Grove, are especially well-situated and there are a few of them nearby for residents to unwind in, which makes it easy to get to them. Lastly, due to the presence of very few pedestrians, this area remains relatively calm.

Housing

Glendale experienced its main construction boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available properties are from this time period. In this neighbourhood, many dwellings are single detached homes, whereas the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings and mobile homes. Homeowners occupy about 80% of the properties in the neighbourhood and 20% are rented. This part of Winnipeg is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
