Marpole

Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Marpole is a neighbourhood within Vancouver, British Columbia.

Transportation

Marpole will draw homeowners that value several modes of transportation. Owing to 2 rapid transit stations (Marine Drive Station Platform 2 and Marine Drive Station Platform 1) on the Canada Line Skytrain, and a few nearby bus lines, commuting by public transit is easy in Marpole. Marpole is also reasonably conducive to walking; many daily needs can be carried out without having to use a vehicle, and plenty of businesses are quite nearby. This part of the city is quite appropriate for biking because the cycling infrastructure is reasonably comprehensive.

Services

Families will appreciate that wherever their home is located in Marpole, daycares and schools are close by. With regards to eating, it is convenient to get to both a general and a specialty grocery store on foot from anywhere in this neighbourhood. In addition, there is commonly a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. A decent selection of clothing stores is also located within a reasonably short walking distance.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a calm atmosphere will enjoy Marpole. This part of Vancouver is reasonably quiet overall, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several noisier areas, especially closer to the railway line. Lastly, green spaces, like Oak Park and Winona Park, are very well-distributed and there are about 20 of them nearby for residents to unwind in, resulting in them being very easy to get to from numerous locations in Marpole.

Housing

About 40% of dwellings are small apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in Marpole, and the rest of the houses are mainly duplexes, single detached homes, and townhouses. This area has a good choice of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. The proportions of homeowners and renters are about even. This area did not experience a single construction boom; the construction of new dwellings in the neighbourhood was spread throughout multiple decades in recent history.
