Queensborough is a neighbourhood within New Westminster, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is very often the best method to move around in Queensborough. Nearby highways, such as Highway 91A, are very easy to access from any home in Queensborough, and it is convenient to park. However, Queensborough is not particularly transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually just around the corner. This part of New Westminster is bike-friendly as the cycling network is reasonably extensive. Many of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are not especially conducive to walking because running common errands is challenging by walking.

Services

Families will value that wherever their property is situated in Queensborough, both primary and secondary schools are nearby. On the other hand, there are only a limited number of daycares and consequently they can be an extended walk away. Regarding food, reaching the closest supermarket on foot is an option for some, but not all, house buyers in Queensborough. There are also a few opportunities for those who appreciate restaurants in close proximity.

Character

The character of Queensborough is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. This part of New Westminster is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets are generally calm - although there are still several noisier sections, especially around Highway 91A, Highway 91 or the railway line. Finally, most locations in the neighbourhood have reasonably good access to green spaces, such as Ryall Park/Queensborough Community Centre, since there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to unwind in.

A majority of the housing growth in this part of the city has occurred after the year 2000. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
