Parkway

Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Parkway is a neighbourhood within District of North Vancouver, British Columbia.

Transportation

Driving is a good transportation option in Parkway. It is easy to park. In contrast, Parkway is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Parkway is quite bike-friendly as Parkway features a reasonably good bicycling infrastructure. It is at times difficult for people walking to navigate Parkway because very few common errands can be run without having to resort to a car.

Services

It is very often feasible for property owners in Parkway to do groceries on foot. Moreover, a cafe is on average a reasonably short walk away, and residents of this area can enjoy a few restaurants as well. As far as education is concerned, in Parkway, families will almost always be able to access daycares and primary schools on foot. In contrast, this area does not have any high schools.

Character

The character of Parkway is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. Public green spaces are very easy to access since there are a few of them nearby for residents to discover. This area is very quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

Housing

In Parkway, roughly one third of buildings are single detached homes, but large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood took place in the 1980s. This part of the municipality offers mainly three bedroom and two bedroom homes.
