Gloucester

The neighbourhood of Gloucester is part of the municipality of Township of Langley, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is usually the best method to navigate this neighbourhood. It is very easy to come across a place to park, and nearby highways are reasonably easy to reach from any home in this area. Gloucester is not very amenable to bicycling as the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive, and there are a fair number of hills for cyclists to brave. It is also very difficult for pedestrians to move around in this neighbourhood since almost no daily needs can be carried out without a car.

Services

This area does not contain any high schools or primary schools. With regards to eating, buying one's groceries usually necessitates the use of a car in Gloucester. There are a few choices for those who care about close by restaurants and cafes.

Character

Gloucester offers a calm atmosphere. Gloucester is reasonably quiet, as the streets tend to be peaceful - although that is not the case closer to the railway line. Parks aren't well-spread out, which makes it occasionally challenging to get to them. Despite that, there are a few green spaces close by for residents to visit.

Housing

Around 45% of homes in Gloucester were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1990s. The substantial percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of this neighbourhood is an important part of its character. About three quarters of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and renters occupy the remainder. This part of the municipality offers mainly two bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
