Transportation

False Creek does not require use of a car since several other methods of transportation are available. It is very easy for people walking to move around in False Creek; running common errands is very easy on foot, and countless businesses of different types can be found as well. False Creek is also an extremely convenient part of Vancouver for cyclists. More specifically, bike-share stations are seldomly more than a short walk away, and the cycling infrastructure is very well-developed. The public transit network in this neighbourhood is especially accessible as a result of many nearby rapid transit stations on the Canada Line and Expo Line, and about 10 nearby bus lines. In contrast, driving is a rather limited transportation option in this area because the street network is not very well suited for cars, and coming across a parking spot is not very easy.

Services

It is a rather short walk to access both primary and secondary schools from anywhere in False Creek. On the other hand, it can be challenging to reach daycares as a pedestrian. The predominance of large apartment buildings in the housing stock of False Creek is an important part of its character. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of two bedroom and one bedroom homes. There are equal parts owners and renters living in this area. The buildings in this neighbourhood are very new, since many of its buildings were constructed after the year 2000, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s.
