The neighbourhood of Southgate is part of the city of Kamloops, British Columbia, which is located in the Greater Kamloops metropolitan area.

Transportation

It is convenient for pedestrians to navigate Southgate; many day-to-day errands can be run without needing to use a vehicle, and there are also a fair number of businesses in proximity. This area is also rather cycling-friendly since the bicycling network is reasonably well-developed. Cars are an excellent mode of transportation in Southgate. It is very easy to find a parking spot, and the majority of real estate listings are a very short drive from the closest highway. In contrast, the public transit service in Southgate is not especially frequent. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and it is very convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most homes.

Services

The nearest supermarket in this neighbourhood is usually only a very short stroll away. In addition, Southgate is a fairly good place in which to eat out or go to a cafe. As far as education is concerned, parents and their children will welcome the proximity to daycares and schools, which are within walking distance from the majority of properties for sale in this neighbourhood.

Character

There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Southgate, as well as some areas with a vibrant atmosphere. Although this area is not home to any parks, public green spaces are few and far between in nearby neighbourhoods, making them easy to reach. Finally, this neighbourhood remains relatively quiet, as there are few pedestrians; however there can be higher levels of noise for those who are closer to the airport (Kamloops (Forestry District) Heliport).

Housing
