Sahali

The community of Sahali is part of the city of Kamloops, British Columbia, which is situated in the Greater Kamloops metropolitan area.

Transportation

Sahali is an extraordinarily convenient part of Kamloops for driving. Many homes for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and it is very easy to come across a parking spot. However, the public transit service in Sahali is not very frequent. Nevertheless, the community is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most residences. Travelling on foot is not particularly practical for house buyers in Sahali since running common errands is at times difficult.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to reach daycares and primary schools from any location in this area. On the other hand, parents and their kids may find it difficult to get to high schools as a pedestrian. As far as eating is concerned, reaching the nearest grocery store by walking is feasible for some, but not all, home buyers in Sahali. Residents can enjoy about 30 restaurants and coffee shops as well.

Character

Sahali is a good community to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. Green spaces are very well-distributed and there are about 10 of them nearby for residents to check out, which makes it very easy to access them. This community is also reasonably quiet, as the streets are quite tranquil - however noise can be bothersome around Trans-Canada Highway.

Housing

In Sahali, around 45% of dwellings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. This part of the city is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Around 70% of the units in the community are occupied by homeowners and 30% are rented. About 45% of homes in this community were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 1990s.
